Activity 2: In 1936, a 13 year old girl named Marjorie Gestring became the youngest person to ever win an Olympic gold medal. She won the gold medal in the springboard diving competition. Imagine that you were alive in 1936 and you had the chance to interview her. On your blog, post five questions that you would like to ask the Olympic champion (if you had the chance to meet her!).

ReplyDeleteWow! These are some very insightful questions. Nice work. I particularly like question #3 about the Marjorie's hardest competitor. I really wish that she were living in New Zealand so that we could ask her these questions and find out the answers!
I would imagine that it was very difficult for Marjorie to be the youngest ever Olympic competitor. I bet that she was pretty scared when it was her turn to compete, however, facing your fears can help you to overcome them. I wonder if she felt that she was braver after the Olympics than she had been before she entered. Hmmm....
